We had blogged yesterday about Kurt Cobain’s appearance in Guitar Hero 5, now Guardian is reporting that Kurt’s widow, Courtney has described Kurt’s depiction in the video game as a ‘travesty’. She is now planning to take legal action against Activision, the developers of the game.
According to Courtney, there are four breaches of a very strict contract. So it’s now clear that there was a contract on his portrayal in the game.
“Courtney supplied us with photos and videos,” says Activision vice president Tim Riley. “She picked the wardrobe and hairstyle, which turned out to be the ‘Teen Spirit’ look & it was great to work with her.
