UPDATE: Chirantan Patnaik Sets a New Guinness Book Record Playing GTA IV for More Than 40 Hours

Chirantan Patnaik is one such passionate gamer; he will attempt to break the record of ‘Longest Marathon playing Grand Theft Auto (Series)’ and get his name entered in the ‘Guinness World Records’, if successful. He will also become 4295-gta-iv-multiplayer-hit-hard1the first Indian ever to get his name in the ‘Gamers Edition’ of Guinness World Records. The current record for ‘the longest continuous play session on Grand Theft Auto IV’ is 28 hours 1 minute, held by Jim Patton (USA) in Los Angeles, since April 2008. He will begin playing the game from 10 am tomorrow (4th September) at his residence in Mumbai. The entire event would be video streamed live on www.neuralchaos.com, a gaming blog created by Chirantan. He would maintain this blog as platform for video gaming related articles. The Guinness World Records Limited has approved this attempt and Chirantan will be following their stringent guidelines. Two independent observers will be present to witness the event and certify compliance, out of which one would be from Zapak.com. Best of luck Chirantan, make India proud. :-)
