Gameshastra, popular in India for being creators of Desi Adda, a PS2 game which is bundled along with the console, has set up a new office in London.
They had already set up offices in US, Japan before venturing into European territory. According to MCV, the core focus of the company’s European expansion will be its digital publishing business, which has already seen Gameshastra establish itself on Apple’s App Store, Sony’s PSN Minis and on various smartphones and not game development.
On the development side they are working on a lot of titles for PSP but most importantly they’re working on Eklavya for PlayStation3. It’ll be the first current-gen console game completely developed by an Indian studio.
They’re also developing a bullock cart racing game for PS2.
