I wanted to blog about this earlier. But good news all Blender3d fans, the trailer for their open source movie, Big Buck Bunny  (I had blogged about this earlier) was released a few days back! The trailer looks interesting and visuals are too good! see the HD version of the video here

Na, not the fruit.. the open source animation project being developed by Blender foundation. The objective of the project is to create a 3D animation movie, using the popular free 3D animation software Blender 3D. The files of the project (.blender files- which will have the animation and character builds) will be made accessible to the public. Everyone will have the freedom to  make  changes to the files  in the movie and come out with a movie on their own using the characters..

The movie the Peach project team is working on has been titled Big Buck Bunny after the protagonist bunny character in the movie. This is the second animation project undertaken by Blender Foundation.. the first being Elephant’s Dream.
