The Trailer of God of War 11- Vengeance. “Chaos will rise again” as Kratos say in this new trailer for God of War III. Let’s see how much chaos is there this time. This long awaited sequel will be released by Sony Computer Entertainment’s, Santa Monica Studios on March 16th for the PlayStation 3. Check the Trailer here-

Who is the mysterious Gay Tony? This new trailer introduces us to the eccentric character, who is supposed to be the star of the upcoming GTA 4 DLC, “The Ballad of Gay Tony.”

The expansion hits October 29 as a $20 Xbox 360 download, or as part of the $40 GTA: Episodes From Liberty City stand-alone disc. So let’s all play the waiting game shall we?

Richard Mitchell from Joystiq.com has posted this video showing the changes in the upcoming August updates to Xbox Live service. If you are too lazy to watch the whole video, here are the major updates.

• Changes in the way Achievements are displayed.
• More avatar options.
• Improvements in game market place. Community games replaced by Indie games, which can be sorted by rating.
• You can rate Indie games even without downloading.
• Sort friends list alphabetically, last login, activity etc.
• New solution centre. You can look at account info and it answers questions like “how to remove credit card” from Xbox Live. It basically eliminates a need to call support.
• Upgrade to Netflix. Invite friends to a movie party.

Yesterday I blogged about the upcoming cricket game — Ashes Cricket 2009 . The demo of the game was made available on Xbox Live Marketplace. AAG has done a preview of the game based on this demo. Worth a read though it doesn’t say anything we haven’t already heard about the game.

Mafia II has been in development for a long time now, considering that the original was made way back in 2002. It is one of my favourite sandbox style games to date primarily because of the strong story line which was found missing in many other sandbox games. From what we can see in the gameplay video below (shown at this year’s E3) Mafia II not only packs in better graphics and improvement in gameplay, but also some a cracking story line. I won’t say more, enjoy the video.

Look at this gameplay video of DNF which surfaced after the studio decided to shut down.

What do you see? Sheer awesome no? I think someone should drop in some dough, buy it from Take2, finish off whatever is left and release it. The developers have worked on the game for 12 years and the only reason as I see for things being so, is the sheer incompetence from the management side. Why should the developers and artists who worked on the game have to suffer?

It may have become the butt of all gaming jokes, it may hold the record for having ‘under construction’ tag for the longest, but hey, it’s Duke Nukem and you don’t want to mess with him! =)

PS: If Take2/3D Realms plans to kill the franchise they should at least release the game as a freeware!
